I fell in love with the curves on the sides and legs! It really just needed a good cleaning but I knew exactly what I was going to do with it! It was exactly what I was looking for to put a small flat screen TV on. It has storage and everything. I managed to talk them down on the price and Christine and I loaded it in the car and off we went. I knew how I wanted to paint it. I got my inspiration from Kathleen at Between Blue and Yellow.
I gave it a good sanding and then painted it using Behr paint called Agave. I wanted a fun turquoise and this was the best color! After painting I stained the top using the same Minwax satin I used for my Shadowbox project. I just kept wiping the stain on until it reached the darkness I wanted. I then sanded the edges using 220 grit sandpaper to show the white through.
Then I wiped on stain and wiped it off for an aged look. I finished it with a poly spray...and TA-DA!!
Before.......Meets After!
(The cabinet almost looks white here but look at the drawer picture above. That's the true color) Did you have any exciting finds lately?

This totally works for the tv, this is why flat screen tvs are perfect. The color you picked out is very pretty, your definitely talented.
