repurposing things

Thank you for all your input about my craft room fabric! I won't tell you which one I'm leaning towards...or it I even chose one of those! Hehe, sneaky I know but you'll just have to wait and see!

I've been on the hunt for some little things to hold supplies for my craft room.

I came across this for $3 at Goodwill. (Did I mention I LOVE that place???)
It came with only 2 of these

I think in it's glory days it was supposed to be something you hang on the wall and hang dried flowers in....not sure about that one! But I knew instantly I was going to reprupose it for something for my craft room.

Remember these?
The pots were so cute, but taking up valuable desk space. Do you see where I'm going here???

I got out my leftover Raspberry spray paint by Krylon and sprayed the wrought iron piece. I screwed it into the wall, and ta-da!

So cute :) Not too bad for $3 and some left over spray paint! This is why I love to repurpose things! It's so fun to find new uses for interesting items!

So here's a little Before Meets After with the new pot holder!

Anyone have any ideas how I can repurpose the pointed glass vases?
Have you ever repuposed something? I'd love for you to share!

  6. I love to re-purpose...I just did a piece of wall decor that hung in my entrance and turned it into a piece of teenage girl artwork...

  10. I think I'm in love with raspberry spray paint - great color, Lisa! The pointy glass things, hmm, they kinda look like Christmas trees, maybe leave them standing as you have them in the picture, but fill them with Christmas balls, or other glittery type stuff... anything you might put in an apothecary jar, even silk flowers, etc.

  11. Could use the glass pointy things to make huge "Candy Corns" - using yellow, orange and white paint.

  12. Maybe you can take a larger vase or pot in glass and fill it with sand or glass stones in lovely colors, and then place the pointed glass in the middle, filled with water, so you can have floating candles or flowers in them..?
    <3 your page! <3

  14. The Xmas tree was a great idea. I would glue very small overlapping scallop shellls on them for a nautical set. Of course xmas is over :)
