FREE foyer update

I hope everyone had a great Labor day! We spent some time at the lake and with friends. I did manage to squeak in a few DIY project too of course!

We have this really cute architectural feature in our house, but I never knew what to do with it!

The table below got junky and we began to just throw stuff on it. The other night at 11 pm I got insipred to paint it. (This is one of the glorious DIY moments that I have at inappropriate hours and the hubbs has learned to go with it!)

I should also mention that this is the very FIRST drop of paint to touch our walls since we moved in....insert happy dance here :)

I had some leftover paint from this dresser I did.

I grabbed my Purdy brush and got to work. It took me about 10 minutes. Then I found some picture wire and hung the picture (that I've been meaning to hang for 8 months!)

And viola.....A FREE update!!

I never knew how bad it looked before until I finally painted it!

The wood block is a leftover piece of wood from when hubby lifted up the headboard.

I spray painted it black and then found these votive holders in my basement!

My mom bought the turquoise bowl for us from TJ Maxx.

It looks soooooo much better! I love how it looks going into the family room.

(Don't mind the junky end table now though!)

I'm not done with the table though. I'm thinking some cute books stacked on the bottom and maybe a plant?!?!? I was just too excited that there was paint on the walls that I couldn't wait!

Here's a Before Meets After of our foyer....

You can't beat FREE!!
