room switch-er-roo

I mentioned in my earlier post that a few things look differently upstairs. Thanks to the $100 bed makeover, we now have an extra bed, but no mattress.

We moved our sleigh bed into an empty smaller bedroom.

We still had our"Beach" room with the $5 headboard.

I decided I wanted to flip flop the rooms. The front room is a bigger room, but it had the smaller bed.

The back bedroom was a smaller room but had our bigger bed from our master.

Hubbs wasn't too sure about the idea, but as usual, he went along with it! (This is the theme of our current kitchen remodel too!)

I flipped the rooms and now I love them!

This is the empty larger guest room with the larger bed (and no mattress).
I have LOTS of plans for this room!

The other side of the room holds the dresser and an antique chair from my great grandmother.

You can also see I'm going to be using various shades of green in here too. I found some really cute fabric that I plan on using for the chair, curtains, and pillows.

This is what the smaller room looks like now.

It's hard to tell the difference between the 2 rooms, but the larger guest room has windows to the left of the bed, and now the windows are to the right of the bed....which reminds me that this room needs curtains too!

One day at a time...

Do you ever do crazy things like flip flop entire rooms....Or is that just me???

  1. Lol, I love that your hubby is unsure but he just goes with it. My hubby has to do the same thing. Can't wait to see what you are doing with the bigger room. I want to move our dining room into the formal living room area and flip flop them but hubby isn't completely sold on the idea yet. Also can't wait to see more kitchen pictures, it's coming along beautifully!
