Hi, I'm Judy and I have a little blog over HERE at The Hoppe's. I'm a nurse, hair stylist, and part time florist, but I live to decorate, craft, attempt to cook, and make not so pretty things into lovely things. I typically blog about DIY projects and the milestones of our new life together as newlyweds.
I'm super excited to be over here with Lisa today at Before Meets After! This is my first time ever being a guest blogger.  YAY!  I'm having a blast and enjoying everyone's crafts so far. What a great idea Lisa! It feels like Christmas every morning when I check BMA and see a new crafty Christmas project from these other fabulous bloggers!
I love to make things that are easy and affordable.  Most of all I like giving people the affirmation and belief in themselves that they CAN make lovely things! I'm all about a super, easy, fast, and affordable steal of a deal so I thought that today I would show you a wreath that I just made for the holidays.
Here we go.
Supplies:
stick wreath
burlap
hemp string (you could also use twine, yarn, etc)
pinecones, ornaments, artificial evergreen
paint
ribbons
 letter stencils
sponge brushes
hot glue gun
scissors
I measured how much burlap I would need off the roll to fit the letters individually.
I cut three squares the same size...one for each letter.
I poured myself a little paint off to the side and got busy sponging the paint onto the burlap covering the spaces inside of the stencil.
Once the paint was dry I cut the burlap pieces into three banner like triangles and strung them together with twine.  I wanted it to look stiched so I weaved the twine in and out of the small spaces of the burlap.
I then tied the banner to the wreath.
Using a hot glue gun I glued some pinecones to the wreath and lightly painted some white paint on them to make them look snowy.
Then it was time to put the hot glue gun to work!
I glued ornaments and evergreen around the wreath
Then I used some ribbon to make a bow and added it to the top of the wreath.
Time to hang your little beauty up!
Thanks so much for having me Lisa! I'd love for all of you to pour yourself a glass of wine  {or 2...or 3} and come on over to listen to some Christmas tunes and say hello and stay awhile!
Happy Holidays Beauties!
