Well I'm writing down my house goals for the year, with hopes that I can follow through with them too!
1. Make over my dining room.
I am in the process of making our home lighter. When I walked aorund our house, I noticed that the only room in our house with big, dark furniture is our dining room. I'll be scouring craigslist for some new finds :)
2. Do something with our front room.

Right now it's my furniture staging room/office.I have visions of beautiful french doors and some built-ins. Hubby has visions of a murphy bed. After all there is a full bathroom attached to this room and it would be nice to have a main floor guest room. We'll see who wins this battle!
3. Paint a room in our house

The running joke in our house is that we've lived here for a year and the only drop of paint on the walls in in our nook in the foyer. Sad I know. We're working on it!
4. Get the rest of our appliances so we can call our kitchen finished.

5. Paint our stairs.
Remember my inspiration board on pinterest?
Hopefully we can get most, if not all, of these things accomplished this year. I'm counting on you to hold me to it! Do you have a goal list for your house? How do you decide which projects are the most important?

It always helps me to write a list! Good luck on getting everything done! : ) I'm exciting to see what you do with your dining room, I'm trying to figure out how to tie mine in with the rest of my house too.. I have a huge empty wall and well a table. Hmm....

Love all of your ideas and think I may just have to get my list out of my head and onto paper...or blog post! LOL! Your kitchen is truly looking beautiful and I can't wait to see what else you come up with for 2012. Thanks for sharing it with us at Inspiration Friday!

Oh man, if I had stairs I would be following in the exact same direction that you are heading! And don't get on too much of a paint kick--I'm so sick of painting our house and we still have 3 more rooms to do. (and they've already been painted once before!) Great post!
ReplyDeleteI love those french doors. Good luck with your to-do list for 2012! Happy New Year!
