Guest room transformation

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! The weather here was gorgeous and we tried to spend as much time outside as possible!

I've been meaning to share with you a little switcheroo I pulled.

A few weeks ago we decided to take the plunge and get a king size bed in our master. I don't know why I've waited this long but it's heavenly I tell you. I'll share more about the new bed later. But getting a bigger mattress caused us to have to get new bedding. I didn't want to just get rid of the old bedding because I really liked it. Well....

Now it's in our new guestroom.

I took a chance about a year ago when I painted those nightstands jungle green. But I'm so glad I did because with the new "old" bedding they really stand out!

You can also see my no sew paisley curtains here

The room is not done yet.  (Is there ever a room DONE in my house??) I still have plans for above the bed and a few other small touches.

Here's how it looked in our master.

I think it looks so much better in our guest room! The green of the nightstands makes the bedding pop even more.

I just love all the accessories. Everything is a thrift store find or I shopped for it in my basement.

So my guests will be happy...but what about me???

I might be brave enough to share with you the master later this week. For now, imagine bachelor pad, mattress on the floor, nothing on the walls, zen, minimalist look. That's coming back right?!?!

Maybe I'll just stay in this room until then!

Do you ever move things all around your house?

Looks great! I love that bedding but I'm sure you're loving your new king size! I wish we had room for a king, but we're stuck it the queen for now.
