Nothing puts me in a better mood than the thought of today starts Spring Break!! I'm so excited! (One of the few perks left of being a teacher!)

But something else that excites me is a giveaway!

Papa-Paparazzi!

So I gave a few sneak peeks into Paparazzi when I was talking about my craft fair experience!

Paparazzi is an amazing jewelry company. The jewelry sells for only $5. Yes. $5. I am not kidding.

It's super cute.

Their prices can't be beat!

There's everything from bracelets.....
To hair accessories!
The hair accessories are some of my favorites!

They have clips that can be worn on sweaters or in your hair!

And everything is $5!!!

The commission is amazing and the opportunity for growth is there. Unlike many other consultant companies, Paparazzi doesn't make you order product every month, there's no catalog to shop from, and the gratification is instant! Have a party tonight, take your jewelry and accessories with you!

If you're interested in becoming a consultant, visit the Paparazzi website for more info. If you decide to become a consultant, enter my consultant number (4377). Also, please email me at lisa(at)beforemeetsafterblog (dot) com if you have any questions. If you live in the Atlanta area and are interested in me hosting a no pressure party, please contact me! The jewelry sells itself without a sales pitch!

painted and stained nightstand

This is another piece from my fabulous mom! She's always on the lookout for pieces for me to re-do. She didn't have to look far because this was a piece she had in her house.

 It looks so beautiful!

It didn't always start out as this though.
It had a definite orange stain going on. (Sorry mom!)

It's solid wood so it was a quick sand with my palm sander.

I painted a few light coats of white. Then I stained the top with Dark Walnut by Minwax.
I'd say it was a success!

I changed out the pulls on this one as well. The pulls gave me a little trouble as they were the front screw kind. I couldn't find a color to match so I ended up going with the gold screws. I think it actually draws attention to the beautiful pulls.

A few more of the details!

The Before Meets After

The nightstand reminds me so much of the french dresser I loved so much!
Now if I could only find another dresser to do this to...sigh!

It's for sale in the store if you're interested.

Craft Fair

This weekend I headed to my very first fair. I definitely learned a few do's and don'ts. There were some veteran vendors that were set up and organized in no time at all. I on the other hand, forgot some signs, a dry erase marker, and my own sign for my tent. (lesson learned, have a list!)

My whole family helped out by loading, setting up, and hanging out.

My dad helped load up early in the morning.
We had to sweep out the truck because the pollen in Georgia is out.of.control right now!

My sister helped me sell some Paparazzi jewelry.
Yeah the tent had to go about halfway through. It was so windy it was shaking like crazy. (Another lesson learned, bring tent weights!)

Overall it was a lot of fun. I saw lots of friends and got my name out there as well as sold a few things. The rest I will post about this week and list for sale in the store tab.

All of the banners that didn't sell will be listed in my Etsy shop!
As for now, I need a nap!

Lots of updates!

This week I promised to post a lot of furniture re-dos. It didn't happen.

But what did happen was some awful rash all over me! Between the medicine and the itching, I didn't get a lot done this week. One Dr. thinks it could be from all that yard work we did, the other one thinks food allergies. Fun times this week at my house!

I'm hoping it goes away before the craft fair Saturday. I don't think anyone will want to buy furniture from a crazy itching lady!

Speaking of furniture, I have a piece to share with you!

My mom found this beauty for a steal of a deal. It just needed a little cleaning and some sweet knobs.

The knobs are from Hobby Lobby.

I just love the beadboard detail on the door insert.

Easiest furniture transformation ever. I don't even know if this counts as a transformation. New knobs and cleaning. Works for me.

Do I dare do a BMA?

Ultimate laziness. It must be the medicine talking.

It's a Girl...Merry Christmas...Happy Birthday???

I know you're confused now, right???

No, I'm not having a baby, Christmas is long gone, and my birthday isn't until next month.

I've been busy making more banners to sell at the craft fair this weekend!
I just love these little things!

The Christmas one has to be my favorite.

The detail on the background paper is full of Christmas words and sayings.

These are only $10-$12 each, depending on the size. You can't beat that!

This one uses sweet little clothes pins to attach to ribbon.

All of the banners are adjustable for any size mantle, banister, or cabinet.

These, along with the other ones I made, will be for sale at the craft fair. Whatever I don't sell will be placed on my Etsy site.

They come packaged so cute too :)

I'll be sure to keep you updated this week on what else I have for the craft fair!

Body aches and Beds

Sadly, with these body aches I'm having I wish I was laying in bed.

My body aches so bad because of the beds in my front yard!

It was a beautiful weekend here in GA, and instead of getting ready for my craft fair next weekend, we weeded. And weeded. And weeded.

But I can honestly say that I've never been more proud of my yard. I am NOT a yard person by any means, but a little sweat equity and moving around of some plants did our yard wonders!

It wouldn't be BMA without a Before and After pic.

We ended up with 13 bags of yard waste and about 10 more trips to the woods behind our house to dump leaves.

Poor hubbs can't even park his car in the garage right now!

The sad thing is we're still not done. I haven't even gotten to the beds right by the front door. Now that's another story!

But for now, my body hurts too bad to think about that.

I have so much to share with you this week before my craft fair Saturday. So be ready to be bombarded with posts!

Don't forget!!!
Last chance to win the $25 to The Creative Nest ends tonight!!!
