Homegoods Shopping with Atlanta area bloggers (and a big purchase!!)

On Saturday I had to wake up very early, but it was for something so fun!

Rhoda from Southern Hospitality invited Atlanta bloggers to meet up at Homegoods in Alpharetta, GA.

We had breakfast and coffee, and Rhoda spent a few minutes playing some games before we were sent off to shop!

Do you have a Homegoods by you? If not, you're missing out on some great finds.

They have a huge selection of pillows, many for under $20.

There's everything here you could possibly imagine!

The furniture finds are some of my favorites!

I tweeted a bunch of pictures from that day as well. If you want to check out some of the other bloggers and their finds, look for #homegoodsparty. And make sure you're following me, BeforeMA, for more pics and updates that you won't see here!

After the event, I just HAD to stop by the Ballard outlet called Ballard Backroom. I never get over there because it's the complete other side of town, but my arm was being twisted you know :)

I love everything from Ballard, and their quality doesn't disappoint. At their outlet, you can find slightly damaged goods for ridiculous prices.

I love this giant piece of art, but I had to pass because I knew I could DIY something similar.

These dining room hutches were gorgeous, but at 40% off they still weren't in my budget.

I walked by these chairs and sat down in them.

I immediately fell in love. The man in the background talking to (I assume) his wife on the phone about them and then another lady came and sat down on them. They are the Brooks recliners. Full price from $899-1,300. When I saw that the sale price for both was less than full price for one, I knew I had to have them. See they were calling out to me!!

Now you can never say furniture doesn't speak to me! Talk about a splurge. I had absolutely no plans whatsoever to buy furniture today.  They don't have a single mark on the upholstery  They went to the outlet because the legs were nicked up. But I have a solution for that!

We were looking for furniture for our sitting room (if it ever gets floors that aren't plywood) these will go in there.

But for now, they're shoved in my dining room along with my floors. Waiting. Someday I'll have floors in my master bedroom again! But hey...I have chairs :)

I know....we put the horse before the cart, but sometimes when a deal is too good, you have to snatch it up!

Do you ever find things when you least expect to?

  7. Booo, I wish you would have told me about this! I would have gone with you and it's right in my neck of the woods. I don't even go into Ballard's anymore. Too many temptations...

  8. OH heavens, you are such a tease. We don't have a Home Goods store in Grand Junction, CO. Maybe nearest one is in Denver, but at this time of year there's no way we're going over the continental divide to shop. Sure would love to in Summer tho.
I'm so jealous about those chairs, they are incredibly awesome. Love that style and the color can actually be quite neutral, good hue of yellow. Smart girl to buy something when you see it even if you're not ready for it. Deals like that only come when you're not looking for them. Enjoy them for all of us ok? I'm still jealous.

  10. Lisa, I find unexpected things every day when in thrift stores looking for pet items for my resale. I have now branched out a little and have "rescued"
some beautiful afghans. It makes me a little sad that something made with such love ends up in a thrift store. My clients love getting them.
