I threw together this easy Burlap wreath in just a few minutes.
You'll need a metal wreath form, burlap ribbon (I used 2 rolls and had some left over), floral wire, and any extra decor/embellishments if your choice.
I started out by tying the burlap ribbon to one of the metal pieces on the wreath form. Then I simply made loops and pulled them in and out of all the metal spokes, working my way from the outside in. There's really no wrong way to do this! The more ribbon you leave, the fuller your loops will be. I watched this video to help me make the wreath.
I then customized it to reflect our Little Man's homecoming!
I found the checkered ribbon on clearance for $.97 for the entire roll and a friend of mine gave me the Pottery Barn H for our Little Man's name.
The great thing about this wreath is that none of the embellishments are permanent and I can change it up to match any decor. I simply took the ribbon and letter off, and then I added a few things to go along for October and Halloween!
Again, since I didn't want anything to be permanently attached to the wreath, I used floral wire and Gorilla Glue Epoxy on the backs of all my embellishments. Then I just stuck them inside the ribbon and now I have an interchangeable wreath!
Especially now that I have a baby, I need things to be quick and easy and to serve multiple purposes. I can't wait to use this year round!
Do you have decorations you change out?
