Concealing unsightly bathroom things

We are finally digging ourselves out of the snow down here in the South. It's been dubbed "Snowpocalypse" and I took the time to get a bunch of stuff done because we were stuck at r

Now that we have a baby, we have a lot of crap. I never knew that a little tiny person needed so much stuff! It seriously takes over my whole house.

We have a full bath on our main floor that we now use to bathe our son in. There's a storage cabinet above the toilet that we keep his towels and washcloths in as well as toilet paper and cleaning supplies.

The problem is that it's also our guest bathroom on the main floor. So every time someone comes over they see all this stuff inside this cabinet. Especially the men. You know what I'm sayin?!?!

So I had to come up with a way to make it a little prettier. I happen to have some extra burlap on hand. I simply measured and then cut our two pieces, ironed them and then hot glued them in.

As I was sitting back admiring my 5 minute project, I realized one of the wood pieces wasn't straight. Well when I straightened it, I realized the piece was never stained underneath.

I dug up my Minwax wood filler pen and colored in. I keep these things on hand now since we have hardwoods in our master. They're great for covering up small nicks and scratches, especially with 2 dogs.

Now if you come over to my house, you can't see all my bathroom things.

If  I could only figure out how to hide Little Man's baby bathtub I'd be set. I think I'll just keep the shower curtain closed on that one :)

Quick fixes always make me happy. Now if I could just get my husband to put his own bathroom junk away! LOL

The 'burlap' is a neat idea which I have 'pinned' - thanks for your inspiring blog.

We just had our bathroom re-glazed. It looks fantastic, we did it all white and we now have all white clean bathroom. It was also not very expensive. I would recommend this option.
